Bed bugs are parasitic, nocturnal insects that hide in dark places and feed on the blood of human beings, mammals and birds. They have a high breeding rate as a female bed bug can lay up to 200 to 300 eggs in one go that mature early. They lay tiny adhesive eggs in large quantities that are nestled in fabric seams. The whitish spots seen in infested areas are their eggs and black spots are their excreta. Bed bugs can suck blood three times the amount of its body weight and can live for about six months without feeding.
A thorough inspection of the entire premises is conducted before the treatment to study the area and identify all the breeding and hiding spots of bed bugs. The success rate depends on the coverage of the bedbug infested areas during this treatment.
Chemical Spray Treatment: A water-based suitable residual insecticide will be sprayed on all the bedbug infested areas within the premises. All the folds and tufts of the mattresses, carpets, upholsteries of chairs and sofas, hollow bed frames, cracks and crevices in the entire premises, gaps in the photo frames, small openings in the wallpapers, window and door frames of all rooms, gaps and cracks in the storage cabinets, and other bedbug hiding places will be covered. All the windows need to be shut prior to the treatment. Once it’s over, the entire premise will be first closed for 2 hours for the desired effect to manifest and then ventilated for 1 hour after the exposure period.
