Wood boring beetles are wood infecting pests that can develop an entire colony inside a wooden structure which can last for about 4 to 5 generations. They infest the internal structure of wooden material and convert it into a powder form. Depending on conditions of moisture levels and temperatures, they can also infest other adjacent furniture as the powder post betel can fly from one place to another.

Treatment: A suitable insecticide is injected into the holes made by the insects in the woodwork. This is further supplemented with a thorough application of the insecticide to all the exposed surfaces of the infested furniture.
